I’m all checked in and ready to get rolling. Today is considered day -2. Day zero will be the day I recieve my stem cells.

The room is nice.. It has plenty of room, and the staff is great so far. I have a few pictures posted on facebook HERE.

    Hi Chris,

I’ve been following your blog and have been reading about your experiences fighting multiple myeloma. To help you pass the time while you’re in the hospital, I am writing to see if you’re interested in participating in a study focused on healthcare access issues multiple myeloma patients face. This study is being conducted by Avalere Health, with support from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).

My name is David Curameng, and I am a research analyst at Avalere Health. As part of the study, we are working with LLS to try to gain a better understanding of the treatment access issues (e.g., treatment costs, transportation concerns, and shortage of doctors in the area) multiple myeloma patients face when accessing the healthcare system. We are interviewing patients about their experiences and would like to speak with you further to see if you qualify for the study.

If you are able to participate, please feel free to e-mail me, and I will be in touch shortly.

Thank you for your willingness to learn more about our study. Please let me know if you have any questions about it, and we hope to hear from you soon.

More importantly, we hope that you get well (and out of the hospital) soon as planned!

    Sincerely,

    David Curameng
